Mission
In collaboration with the association's committee, the volunteer marketing and communication manager is responsible for developing and implementing the association's communication strategy to increase its visibility, raise public awareness of its actions, and mobilize new donors.
Main tasks
Communication strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy by defining key messages, target audiences, and communication channels.
Develop a strong visual identity for the association.
Communication campaigns:
Design and implement diverse communication campaigns (print, digital, events) to promote the association's activities.
Manage the production of communication materials (brochures, posters, videos, etc.).
Develop relationships with the media (print, radio, television, social media).
Direct marketing:
To implement direct marketing actions (postal mail, e-mailing, etc.) to retain existing donors and acquire new ones.
Digital communication:
Oversee the management of the association's social media networks (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
Participate in the creation of engaging content on a regular basis and optimize the visibility of publications.
Event organization:
Organize fundraising events (evenings, galas, etc.).
Organize awareness events (in-person, online).
Coordinate event logistics.
Desired profile
Education: Degree in communication, marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Professional experience in the field of communication or marketing, ideally in the non-profit sector.
Skills
Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canvas, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
Knowledge of Content Management System (CMS) tools.
Excellent writing and spelling skills.
Ability to work in a team and manage projects.
Personal qualities
Creativity, organizational and communication skills, good networking ability, rigor.
Interests
Passion for communication and marketing, with an interest in humanitarian causes.
Terms
Contract: Volunteer (possibility of a volunteer certificate).
Duration: 1 year, renewable.
Estimated time commitment: Approximately 2 hours per week.
Workplace: Primarily remote, with the possibility of regular in-person meetings and potential travel to Congo.

Recruitment process

This onboarding period will allow you to discover our tools and working methods for a successful integration into Avenir Congo's projects and to meet the various team members.
